Overview
We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our client in construction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles and be adept at applying their technical expertise to solve complex problems. This role requires a proactive approach to system design and development, with a focus on innovation and efficiency. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet project specifications and client needs.
Duties
Design and develop engineering systems using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
Create and interpret schematics, utilising knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for precise measurements.
Implement control systems using logic controllers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Conduct simulations using MATLAB and Simulink to validate designs and improve system functionality.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and refine existing systems, leveraging mechanical knowledge.
Document engineering processes and maintain accurate records of design modifications and testing results.
Participate in project meetings, providing technical insights and updates on progress.
Experience
Proficiency in LabView for data acquisition and instrument control is highly desirable.
Strong experience with SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design is essential.
Familiarity with system design principles, including the ability to develop innovative solutions tailored to specific requirements.
Previous experience in a similar engineering role is preferred, showcasing a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
A degree in Engineering or a related field is required, along with relevant certifications that demonstrate expertise in the aforementioned skills.
