Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Frankfurt, Germany. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate cost estimates and maintain budgetary control throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
This role will be based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors to ensure value for money.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost overruns or savings.
Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as necessary.
Experience
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with various stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software tools for quantity surveying and cost estimation.
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
